Family, Baby, and Maternity Portraits

Our portrait sessions are done at your choice of location – either in our studio, in your home, or elsewhere. All our portrait sessions include an online gallery of your fully edited session with direct ordering through our website as well as a post-session consultation in our studio.

1 hour in-studio portrait session {$75}*
1 hour on-location portrait session {$125}*
(newborn sessions require a minimum of 2 hours)

What to wear:
Maternity sessions work best with you wearing form-fitting clothing to show off your beautiful belly. Try to choose simple solid colored pieces (subtle patterns are ok, too). Consider your favorite jeans and a tank top, a long sundress, or anything else you feel comfortable in. You can have as many wardrobe changes as we can fit into the session!

Newborns are best photographed in their birthday suit! Clothes tend to swallow them up and hide their cute rolls and wrinkles. We recommend loosening or removing diapers and socks 20-30 minutes before the session to minimize lines. We will bring blankets, hats, and other accessories to use to create variety.

In family or group sessions, we recommend coordinating, but not matching. Choose colors that compliment each other. Stay comfortable. Avoid logos, pictures, and words on clothing. Keep patterns subtle.

Location, location, location!
There are many choices for where to have your session. Here are the basics:

At home
Sessions in your home are usually intimate, relaxed, and more personal. Think about where you spend the most time as a family, things you like to do together, and what your children are doing right now that you never want to forget. These are the things we will want to capture at a lifestyle session in your home.

Urban/Downtown
Urban locations lend us an endless variety of settings and we love shooting in this type of setting for seniors, families with older children, couples and engagements, and even maternity sessions. We use the texture, color, and architecture of the setting to create truly unique images.

Natural
Parks, fields, farms, and even backyards can provide beautiful natural settings for your portraits. The colors of nature, natural sunlight, and brilliant blue skies make wonderful settings for outdoor sessions.

Studio
Studio sessions are held in our studio in downtown Kent, Ohio. We use a variety of backgrounds and professional lighting to create classic portraits of you or your family.

Belly to Baby Package {$350} This package includes 2 sessions.

• 1 hour maternity session in the 8th month of pregnancy
• 2 hour newborn session within the first 10 days after birth
• 1 8×10 print and 2 5×7 prints with each session
• 1 10 page/20 side 10×10 LayFlat Book (your choice of session or combination of both, upgrades available for custom photo cover and additional pages or larger size)

Born to Birthday Package {$450} This package includes 3 sessions.

• 2 hour newborn session within the first 10 days after birth
• 1 hour session at 6 months
• 1 hour session at 1 year
• 1 8×10 print and 2 5×7 prints with each session
• 1 10 page/20 side 10×10 LayFlat Book (your choice of session(2) or combination of all, upgrades available for custom photo cover and additional pages or larger size)

Belly to Birthday {$550} This package includes 4 sessions.

• 1 hour maternity session in the 8th month of pregnancy
