Akron Children’s Photographer ~ Project 52 ~ 2/52 {pink/red}

Happy Friday, everyone! It’s week 2 of the Project 52, and this week our theme was just a color scheme – pink and red, for the month of love just around the corner. (Can you believe it’s almost February?) I actually struggled with this week and I was -thisclose- to posting an old photo that fit the theme, but I really wanted to come up with something new. That’s the whole point, right? So yesterday afternoon I took my very pink-loving princess into the snow for a few shots.

My daughter is pink-obsessed. She latched onto the princess and fairies and pinks and glitter at a young age. It’s funny how sometimes these things seem so naturally predetermined – my son is a truck-loving, monster-obsessed boy, all the way through.

This morning I went through my archives to find this photo from last year, just to add a touch of red to this post. There’s a big hydrangea bush/tree right outside my kitchen window, and all winter, these Cardinals perch in its branches. I think I’ve counted upwards of 30 perching there at once, all puffed up, trying to stay warm. They’re one of my favorite things about Winter!
